Ribcage is a hell of a word. Like yeah my bones trapped my heart inside my chest if u even care. I don’t know if it wants out

Dropping in to tell you the Swedish word for it is “bröstkorg”; ”chest basket”. I’m just carrying my lungs and whatnot around in a basket here. What could go wrong.

It’s the same in German - “Brustkorb”. But even better is an Old Norse kenning for the chest: laughter-ship.

Also “the walls of memory” and “the bright hall of my heart”. But somehow laughter-ship is the most memorable to me.
